Based in Chicago, Blake is a Senior Wealth Advisor and the Chief Portfolio Manager of Hempel Wealth Management LLC with responsibility of providing clients with personal financial strategies, economic analysis, and investment portfolio management.

Blake started his career at Accenture in 2007 serving Financial Services clients. As a consultant, he advised on a €250 Million reduction in Wall Street trading desk costs, a $15 Billion bank merger, lead both onshore and offshore teams, facilitated a 200-member workgroup, and remediated a cyber security incident at a prominent global bank.

In 2012, Blake joined Northern Trust in their Hedge Fund Administration division. As a program manager, he managed $20 Million in annual software expenditure, assisted New Zealand’s $55 Billion NZD sovereign wealth fund, and onboarded $140 Billion in assets under administration.

In 2017, Blake founded Hempel Wealth Management LLC to bring his first-hand Wall Street experience to help the lives of everyday Americans.

In 2020, Blake was awarded the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. CFP® professionals are widely considered the gold standard in financial planning.

Blake holds a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in Computer and Information Systems Technology, recently named 4th best IT degree in nation. While in college he won a National Database Design competition hosted by Association of Information Technology Professionals. His CFP® education was completed at Northwestern University.

On the weekends and in his free time, Blake enjoys boating on the beautiful Lake Michigan, competing in triathlons, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Samia Rageb Hempel, and their dog Lulu.

Blake and Samia are both travel and wine enthusiasts. They were married at Auberge du Soleil in Napa, California during crush season. Together they have traveled to the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Mexico, Anguilla, and Saint Martin.
